Team Slim n Trim

Okay so I have been on a getting healthy diet! mind body n soul type of cleansing. One has to realize is  if they want change they have to change their approach if they want results. Dont keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome. So I have changed my approach, well im changing...im still in the process :)
First, I started by going back to church, this is my personal decision, i am NOT forcing my views on
anyone. However, I wanted to start going back to church because with change comes obstacles and it is good to have a strong social support group and emotional support to motivate you and remind you that
your HARD work is not in VAIN.
Personally, I think your emotional state and health is about 95% of living a healthy life.
therefore I would recommend finding a POSITIVE social group or just surrounding yourself with positive down to earth people. This will definitely come in handy when you come in contact with those obstacles.
Secondly, distance yourself from anything that is negative or may influence you to
relapse into your old bad habits. If that is a friend that you hang out with who always seems
to criticize you, DROP THEM. Nicely, of course, it does not have to be something said, you can just slowly stop hanging out with them. Or if your negative factor is cupcakes (yummy!)...stop buying them, it will ease the temptation.

After you begin to work on your emotional state, start making GOALS
For me I wanted to lose weight, so I started by changing my eating habits to healthy foods and exercising, exercising, exercising
I have been on a high fiber and high protein and low carb "eating regimen". I eat five times a day and I dont eat late night. And I stay away from FAST FOOD AND FRIED FOOD. Now, I dont like calling this a diet. Diets are doomed for failure. I do not deprive myself of anything but I do take in consideration what is the quality of the food I am eating and how much of it does my body need.
My goal is to lose 2 pounds a week for 10 weeks.  So far I have lost 7 pounds in two weeks! (yaaaay!)
Just remember that hard work does pay off and even if you slip up every now and then you must continue on your road of success. :)
So I will keep you updated on my progress to Team Slim n Trim and healthy living!

Lol I thought this was kind of funny.
